Delivered by specialist DVFREE trainers, this training is critical for preparing your ‘First Responders’ to provide safe and effective support for employees experiencing domestic and family violence, while maintaining professional boundaries. 

Well over 1,000 people have participated in DVFREE Workplace Training for ‘First Responders’ (workplace support people), and 100% recommend this training to other professionals.

 

This Training will prepare your ‘First Responders’ to:

  • Understand the role of a First Responder and its boundaries
  • Practise responding to people experiencing family violence using the Six Step Response Tool
  • Broadly understand accountability and support for change for employees who use domestic violence

Inhouse training option:  To train a cohort of First Responders for your organisation please email dvfree@2shine.org.nz to enquire about inhouse training delivered at your venue, or online. In-house training also helps strengthen relationships between First Responders so they can support each other in the role.
